Should We Help Strangers?
Helpfulness is one of Chinese virtues and the Chinese are usually willing to give a hand to one who is in trouble. However, nowadays, people are extraordinary confused about whether we should help strangers. From my point of view, there’s no ambiguity that we should do others a litter favor.
Firstly, whether we offer others help is associated with the fame and spirits of a country. An uncaring nation is not a place where foreigners would like to settle in. This is bound to have bad influence on the national development. Secondly, our personal code of ethics requires us to do the right thing. Guilty is a thing which may torture you in the rest of your life. Last but not least, how can we expect others’ aid if we merely stand by, watching them suffering. As Chu-ke Liang said“how can we predict the weather?”We might be in desperation one day and someone who received our help may become our lifesaver.
In a word, we need to persevere in kindness towards others. Nevertheless, here are some tips I want to mention. Don’t try to help someone if you are alone. Besides, check the spot whether there are cameras. Furthermore, you should also call the police immediately. Only in these ways can we secure strangers and ourselves.
