The gap remains wide for many reasons.Children want to be free to choose their own friends,plan their own futureand generally run their own life in a more independent way than many parents allow.Also,young children wish to be understood by their parents,but most parents don’t quite understand their children.They regard it as their responsibility to teach their offspring traditional beliefs.Theywant them to be obedient and do well in school.Therefore,misunderstanding often arise from parents’ tendency to interfere in children’s daily activities.

Nowadays, we have found that the communication between parents and their children becomes more and more difficult. It seems that they even have no common topics. This phenomenon can be found in class too, old teachers and young students' mind focus also becomes harder to get together. The generation gap usually hinders communication in our days.
So how did the generation gap appear? In fact, the existence of the generation gap is absolute. The differences in living environment resulted in the different ways of our thinking. In China, the memory in the Previous generation is always about collective concept, collective labor, and national unity in the distribution of the material. But in our generation's lives, it is contacted a lot of western thought, which is in the majority with humanism, rationalism and inpidualism. What We are considering more about is ourselves. This is the thinking about the generation gap. Now that we have known the causes of the generation gap, so we should create a solution to solve this problem, to reduce the negative effects about generation gap in modern society as far as possible. First of all, no matter what the ways we think through, we should learn about the perspective-taking, considering each other's way of thinking of, to understand each other as much as possible. Second, avoiding talking about some sensitive information about faith, in order to avoid some potential conflicts. What’s more? Keeping reading to eich our spiritual world, broaden our horizons, feel each other's colorful thinking world. In the end, I believe that it must have the most scientific thought, keeping pace with The Times. through their efforts we can eliminate communication obstacles.
