Infrared renormalons and $1/Q^2$ power corrections in deep-inelastic sum rules are studied. The renormalization of operators with power divergence are discussed. The higher-twist terms in the operator product expansion are shown to account for the residual
no explicit cut-o?dependence[7],which is a common problem for model estimates.Empir-ically,one may regard the cut-o?being somewhere from0.5to0.8GeV2[33].The QCD sum rule calculations for the higher-twist matrix elements are clearly questionable[10].As I explained in sec.III,the operators used in these calculations are not well-de?ned.
