Those Flowers ——My College Life

Someone said:” College life is a marvelous trip of life, if you don’t

experience it, your life will be regrettable.” I’m lucky, because I have a choice to enjoy it. On Sep.10.2001, I came to BUPT, where I would major in the computer science and technology for four years, that moment I told myself silently: “Now new life begins.”

In fact, I’m a sensitive girl, but when my parents left me for

hometown, I didn’t cry at all. Now recall back that moment, I think the reason is that I had looked forward to college life for a long time. Yes, when I saw the beautiful sight, when I heard the talks and the laughers, when I felt the enthusiasm and vigor of everyone, indeed, I had loved here deeply and quickly, even I wanted to be a part of here at once. So I visit my new home—BUPT every corner at will. Maybe I came here just now, I felt it so large that I was afraid of missing (but now, I only spend five minutes in crossing it).

Soon, regular study life started. Nobody told me what differences

between the senior school and the college. I must adapt myself to circumstances, no matter study and routine life. That is a very long and hard period to me (to be honest, my adaptability capability is a litter weak.). For example, I could have everything I wanted to eat before at home. But now, I had to have my meals in the mess, so I had to eat the unpalatable food on time. Oh, how

terrible it is! Another thing was that I must wash my clothes on my own. Maybe it is a pleasure when you only wash one or two clothes occasionally, but whenever and however you have to do that every week twice, even in winter, what’s your mood then?

Besides these, at the beginning, I felt rather relaxed because most of

the time belonged to me on the campus, there was little homework and nobody would supervise except you. And I never stayed at school as a boarder; I felt everything was so fresh and mysterious. So I lived a happy life during that time, I enjoyed myself in every ways but studied hard. Then I was punished, I got a bad score in the mid-test. So I recalled and examined my own conscience immediately, I found I was worry before. College doesn’t equal to the end of study, because study hard is the duty of every student no matter how old are you. Of course, I made a big progress in the terminal examination. As a matter of fact, I gained a lot of pleasure during the study process. Library became one of my favorite places. I acquired all kinds of knowledge, including the specialized and the extracurricular. Sometimes I was tired but felt quite substantial. I still believed that was the real college life until now.

Though I paid great attention to lessons; I engaged in various

activities and made many good friends. Firstly, our six room-mates are very good friends. We came from the different provinces and had different temper, but we helped and cared for each other at any time. Everyone was like a family to study and live. The small dormitory was always full of warmth and fraternity.

Secondly, our twenty-eight classmates also had good friendship. How to describe us? I think brothers and sisters is the most appropriate word. So you can image how happiness lived in this collective. Remembered that we went to Great Wall, we had been grade two. Although we didn’t know one anther very much, especially boys and girls, we still played very well. Climbing Great Wall、having a picnic and playing games, we not only had physical training but also improved friendship. Returning to school, we all became good friends. Additional, I joined in the computer association. There are each grade and institute students in that organization, so I made friends with them and learned much more knowledge. It made my life colorful and meaningful.

But as known to all, SARS attacked Beijing in spring of 2003.Though

BUPT didn’t have SARS patients, we couldn’t go out at will. Lessons were reduced to a half, so we were a little more leisured than before. Therefore I had much more time to exercise. In fact, because of SARS, everyone started to attach importance to health. At that time, there were so many people that it was difficult to find a big enough place to do the sports. Gradually, terrible SARS disappeared; I became more healthy and strong instead of suffering from illness. Besides, friendship among classmates got more solid.

How time flies! In a twinkle, I become a junior. The most pleasure

thing was that we could go to the Internet in our dormitory, because the network got through eventually. So our life became more interesting and colorful at once. Even someone said in joke: “Our college life is finally

complete!” From then on, I could learn a lot of knowledge by network rather than textbooks. Of course, I do some entertainment to relax myself, such as see a movie, look over the Internet page and so on. It is very useful and convenient indeed. I dare to say that everyone thinks so.

Recalling the past, I only was a little girl whose brain filled with all

kinds of fantasy. After almost three years’ college life, I have already possessed firmly basic and specialized knowledge. Moreover, I also learned the method of getting along well with others. Knowledge and time make me more mature and wiser. Life and experience make me braver and calmer. So this three years’ college life is my greatest treasure.

Thanks to college life, it is like those beautiful flowers, which will

blossom in my heart for ever!
