1. The description of wind power conversion systems
1.1 The description of DFIG
With the development of power electronics technology and micro control technology, DFIG in renewable energy power generation has been widely used, especially in the field of wind power. DFIG is a wound rotor induction generator, is the core components of VSCF wind turbine, and is one of the key components of wind turbine localization. The stator winding of DFIG is directly connected to the grid, rotor winding links to grid connection through the inverter, the frequency, voltage, amplitude and phase inverter of the rotor winding power automatically adjust according to operational requirements, units can realize the constant frequency power generation in different speed.
DFIG has variable speed constant frequency operation ability, it has a lot of advantages.
(1) It can run efficient, high quality under the condition of the prime mover speed system.
(2) To participate in power system reactive power regulation, improve the stability of power grid operation.
(3) Can realize safe and quick flexible grid.

1.2 The description of IG
The induction generator is the most common generator in wind energy system applications due to its simplicity and ruggedness, more than 50 years life time, same machine can be used as motor or generator without modification, high power per unit mass of materials and flexibility in speed range of operation. The main drawbacks in induction generator are its lower efficiency and the need for reactive power to build up the terminal voltage. However,
the efficiency can be improved by modern design and solid-state converters can be used to supply reactive power required.
