loadingAll too often, undergraduates used to live in student’s dormitories on campus. But now over time, more and more students have a preference for renting apartments off campus.
Those who prefer off-campus insist that only when break away from the control of parents and teachers, can they gain independence and keep privacy thoroughly, actually they regard it as a mark of maturity. Again, without the rules of students’ dormitories, collegers off campus can arrange their time reasonably, therefore spare sometime for part-time job.
Others have just the opposite opinion. Living alone, students might feel isolated, while in dormitories, we learn to settle into a group and adjust to social network, it offers opportunity for us to communicate, understand and forgive.
Weighing up those two arguments, I agree with the second view. The high rent, the long distance become too much of burden, not to mention the danger of living outside. It must be admitted that we can have more freedom when off-campus, but freedom doesn’t necessarily benefit.
