It was a grandpa’s birthday yesterday and he was so happy that he got a chance to reunite with his family. His children brought their own children and a delicate birthday cake. It was supposed to be an unforgettful birthday for grandpa if only there had been one single person who had took his eyes off his cellphone and share his happiness or even depression with grandpa. However, everone focused on their cellphone and all they did was clicking and laughing, with eyes stick to this little cold device while paying no attention to a living warm person, who, ironically, was the reason why they gathered together.
I don’t think what happened to this grandpa is just a particular case. It’s actually a common situation happens everywhere these days. People pay too much attention to electronic devices rather than care about each other, let alone talking to the elderly, which makes the relationship among family getting more delicate. And to avoid it, we should put down these cold devices and take a break to communicate with those who love us and we love.
